The choice of insulation thickness directly determines the thermal performance of a façade: at 240 mm, ISOL France’s ISOLITEX panel achieves a thermal resistance of R = 6.30 m².K/W, thanks to a certified thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/(m·K) (class TH38). This level of performance enables the precise design of an external thermal insulation project, whether to comply with current thermal regulations or to achieve an energy performance certificate. This white expanded polystyrene panel, measuring 1200 x 600 mm, is designed for external wall insulation on masonry, concrete or timber-frame structures. It is ACERMI-certified (No. 13/171/834) and classified as Euroclass E for reaction to fire according to the LNE report – two useful guarantees for validating a project with a design consultancy or project manager, in both new-build and refurbishment projects. Installation – whether bonded and/or fixed with dowels, depending on the substrate and the chosen ETICS system – remains quick and straightforward thanks to the material’s light weight and the ease with which it can be cut on site. It enables compliance with the objectives of the HQE and BBC labels, in both new-build and energy-efficient refurbishment projects, whilst minimising the physical strain of handling for installation teams. Once the panel has been installed, a fibreglass mesh is embedded in an undercoat render; an adhesive primer and a façade finish then complete the external thermal insulation system, resulting in a wall that is insulated, protected and aesthetically pleasing over the long term.
