The ITE mesh, with a 4×4 mm mesh size and a weight of 160 g/m², is a CSTB-certified fibreglass reinforcement designed to strengthen the base layer of external thermal insulation systems. Its tighter mesh and higher weight per square metre compared to a standard mesh give it greater mechanical strength, which is particularly useful on the most exposed sections of a façade. Its CSTB certification guarantees that its technical characteristics comply with the requirements of the technical approvals for external thermal insulation systems, providing a guarantee of reliability for project managers and contractors subject to traceability requirements. Sold in rolls 1,000 mm wide by 50 metres long, this mesh covers 50 m² of façade per roll, with the strips overlapped by approximately 10 centimetres to ensure the continuity of the reinforcement once embedded in the undercoat. This reinforced mesh is particularly recommended where the technical approval for the external thermal insulation system (ETIS) requires it, or on sections of the façade subject to significant mechanical stress, such as plinths or accessible lower sections.
