Description

The 2.5-metre starter rail is a profile fitted to the bottom of a façade to commence an external thermal insulation system. It supports and aligns the first row of insulation boards and protects the lower edge of the insulation.

A straight, sheltered frontage right from the first row

The 2.5-metre starter rail is the essential accessory for getting an external thermal insulation project off to a good start. Fixed to the bottom of the façade, it supports the first row of insulation boards and ensures perfect alignment right from the start of the project. It also protects the bottom of the insulation from impact and damp, and provides a clean, straight finish at the base of the façade. The sections are joined together using starter rail connectors, which allow for the necessary expansion joint. Compatible with ETICS systems, this strip is designed for façade contractors and external thermal insulation companies, for both new builds and renovation projects.
