The thickness of insulation depends on the target thermal resistance (R) and the thermal conductivity (λ) of the material, according to the formula R = thickness / λ. In France, R 3.7 m².K/W is the benchmark for high-performance external wall insulation that is eligible for renovation grants. Store the panels away from the rain, in their original packaging. A panel that is damp, warped or damaged must never be installed.
